Maximise your Battery Life
I love everything about my iPhone – the one major thing I would change however if the length of battery life. I need to recharge my iPhone on a daily basis. The following are several tips to make the most of your battery life.
The iPhone’s screen is bright, however you shouldn’t be running it at full heat or maxmised brightness if you want to save battery power. Try reducing this to 10% brightness. You can make this change under Settings -> Brightness.
There is a sensor situated right above the earpiece, that detects ambient light. Your iPhone uses this sensor only once per session, just as you unlock the handset.
If you cover the sensor as you unlock the phone, you will fool the handset into thinking it’s in a dark room and it will reduce the screen brightness.
The iPhone’s autolock feature is good at shutting the screen off if you forget to lock this manually before placing it back in your pocket, purse or cradle after a call. Try reducing the autolock time to 1-minute, to save battery life. This setting can be modified under Settings -> General -> Autolock.
Furthermore, you can turn off Bluetooth and WiFi if you don’t expect to be using them for a while. This will also greatly save your battery life. Finally, you can also set email fetch time to “Hourly” or “Manually” or even turn the “Push” off altogether in order to save energy.
